At Yateleys we provide a programme that facilitates families learning together in an informal setting, using activities to learn new skills, acquire knowledge and develop new interests.
Family Learning programmes aim to encourage parents, grandparents, carers and children to learn together in a fun and safe environment. We also have programmes that enable parents or carers to learn how to support their children’s learning. A key objective in our programmes is to involve parents in learning to enable them to improve their own and their children’s skills.
Among the many workshops and courses on offer are Healthy Eating, ICT, Art & Crafts, Languages, Cookery and Technology challenges. These provide opportunities for quality family time and enhance family relationships.
Family Learning is supported by the Skills Funding Agency and many courses and workshops are free.
Look out for information on Family Learning Week and Family Fun Days, which are held throughout the year.
