Our Team

We would like to introduce you to the fantastic people that make up the team at Yateleys Health and Fitness…

Reception Team        .           Class Coordinator & Class Instructors     .      Personal Trainers

Hi, my name is Helen and I am the new manager at Yateleys Health and Fitness. I joined the Yateleys’ team in August 2023 and have now qualified as a level 2 Fitness instructor. Since joining the team I have loved the spirit and sense of community at Yateleys.
Prior to working at Yateleys I have worked in both the Education and HR sectors, and last year I decided to change direction and incorporate my love of fitness into my career aspirations. I am really looking forward to my new role and to continue to build on the success that Andy and the existing team have built.

Reception Team

I am currently undergoing a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship in Architecture at London South Bank University, when I am able to study and work simultaneously.
As I attended all the schools on School Lane, but recently moved out of the area, I have found working at Yateleys to be a great way of staying connected with the local community.
Fun Fact: Ami taught me to swim before I started School!

I started my fitness journey a few years ago, when I was introduced to the gym. I have loved training ever since and I am always excited to get stronger day by day.
Currently I’m studying sports and activity, and in the future become a fully qualified personal trainer while also specialising in nutrition. Furthermore, working here at Yateleys Health and Fitness, has enabled me to start my career in the fitness industry.

I am currently studying Sport and Exercise Science at St Mary’s University in Twickenham. I really enjoy working here at Yateley’s Health and Fitness because, I get to meet so many new people and it has enabled me to get some experience in the sporting industry early on in my career. My hobbies are to play football for my University team and I used to be a competitive swimmer too.

I have lived locally for over 40 years, and have 3 sons and 3 grandchildren. I have recently retired from a career in banking after 30 years of service. I am a very sociable person and love to chat to other people. I love to dance and enjoy all varieties of music. I was also a competitive swimmer when I was younger. I now love to be outside in my garden and seeing my grandchildren.
Currently I am trying to teach myself the piano which is another passion of mine.

I’ve been working at Yateleys since I was 16 and enjoy a variety of sports such as basketball, tennis and swimming. I’m also a Lifeguard here and enjoy socialising with new members and swimmers. Working at Yateleys has given me valuable insight into fitness and in the future, and I hope to continue working within the health and fitness industry.

 Fitness Instructor & Reception

I was born in Athens and came to England after college to study for my degree in English.
I always like exercising and got involved in lots of activities when my children were younger.
I have been working as a gym and class Instructor for quite a long time and absolutely love what I’m doing. I also love motivating and being with people.
If you haven’t already booked onto one of my classes, please come and give it a go.

Receptionist & PT

I am a qualified fitness instructor and personal trainer I love everything to do with the outdoors and fitness. My favourite sports are Football, Swimming, Golf and American Football and I also have a huge passion for traveling, Australia is my favourite place I have visited so far!

If you ever need any advice in the gym, please do not be afraid to ask.

Class Coordinator & Class Instructor

My journey into fitness started with my love of dancing, a passion I have had since a child.
I began to go to fitness classes as an adult and quickly realised not only did I love participating in group fitness, but that I really wanted to learn how to motivate and inspire other people to enjoy the classes as much as I did. Nearly 20 years later, I have learned many different programmes but currently teach Body Balance, Body Pump and Zumba at Yateleys.
As well as my teaching, I am fortunate to be Group Exercise Co-ordinator at Yateleys. This means I get to work with the best instructors in the area to deliver a fantastic timetable of classes, and also have the opportunity work with our lovely members to help build a true group fitness community.

Class Instructor

Over the last fifteen years I have gained extensive experience in learning and teaching through various senior leadership roles in higher education while continuously expanding my own learning and developing. I have designed, led and taught many staff development programmes and coached individuals at all levels personally and professionally. I feel privileged to have been part of their extraordinary journeys and to help them in creating a life they want to live. I believe that the combination of yoga, meditation and coaching is a perfect mechanism to develop a solid foundation to transform personally and professionally.

Class Instructor

I’ve recently joined the Yateley fitness team, who’ve been so welcoming.
I’ve been on such a fitness journey the last 10 years it’s been incredible! I’m extremely passionate about how important exercise is it for your mental health and well-being.
I make my classes as fun as possible so you don’t realise how hard you are working out. My favourite saying is exercise in disguise.
I look forward to welcoming you at Yateleys Health and Fitness and join you guys on your fitness journey.

Class Instructor

My fitness journey started over 15 years ago, teaching all things studio and gym from aerobics to water aerobics to personal training and many other bits and pieces.
I was encouraged to try Pilates and honestly once I started a Pilates journey there’s just no looking back, I’m a bit of a body and movement geek so I am constantly learning and trying to add to my knowledge base.
I love teaching Pilates as I can see the benefits it has to everyone that comes.

Class Instructor

I am Katie and there are many strings to my bow but most notable at Yateleys I teach Group Cycle and Pilates.
I love what I do and I hope it shows in my classes where I create a friendly and inclusive atmosphere: everyone is welcome no matter what ability.

Class Instructor

I have been teaching various types of exercise classes for nearly 25 years! I started attending exercise classes at my local leisure centre when I was just a teenager and thought how I’d really like to be up the front motivating other like minded people.
Exercise for me is a way of life, I couldn’t just not do it as it makes me feel so much better mentally and physically.
About 15 years ago I qualified as a Les Mills instructor. As a Les Mills instructor we have to attend training to stay certified plus learn new choreography every quarter. I am now qualified to teach Les Mills BodyBalance.

Class Instructor

I’ve been teaching since 2010. I started because my friend was an instructor, it took me a while to pluck up the courage to do the course, as I was really shy.
Best thing I’ve done as it’s made me come out of my shell and every year I’ve been teaching I learn more about fitness.
I’m currently studying to be a PT.
I taught lots of zoom classes during lockdown. I’ve also started weight training in the gym 3 times a week.

I’m delighted to join the team at Yateleys teaching Dance Fitness. Dancing has always been a great love of mine, from learning pop routines as a child, watching Strictly, to becoming a Zumba instructor. As a working mum of three boys, I know it can be hard to find the time for yourself. So Dance Fitness or Zumba – it’s not just about exercising, it’s a time for you to have fun and dance.
See you on the dancefloor soon!

Class Instructor

Having hated PE and sports when I was younger, I discovered my love of group exercise classes when a work colleague persuaded me to try a Zumba® class during a lunch break. Roll on a few years and I now get to stand at the front and share that love with others. If you are a regular BODYPUMP-er, I look forward to getting to know you better, and if you haven’t tried it I would love to meet you in class soon!

Class Instructor

Hi I’m Andy, and I’ve been a class instructor since 2017, currently teaching Strength & Tone, Circuits and Indoor Cycle.I never planned on becoming a class instructor when training to be a PT but now it’s one of my favourite things to do. I love teaching all my classes but Cycle is my Favorite. Being able to go through a tough session with the class is always fun!
I am hoping to add more classes to my repertoire, so stay tuned!

Class Instructor

Hi, I’m Erin and I’m so happy to be a part of the Yateleys Health and Fitness family.
I have been part of the Fitness Industry for almost 20 years now and absolutely LOVE it! Having been through tough times in my younger years, taking part in classes really helped me so I decided I wanted to help others too. I also offer Personal Training, both in person and online.
I specialise in pre and post natal, Menopause and older adults although I love teaching anyone and everyone. I work hard to ensure my classes are fun, welcoming, inclusive and suitable for all (with the odd themed class and fancy dress thrown in for good measure!)
I currently teach Aerobox at Yateleys, which is a great way to get fit and relieve stress. I look forward to meeting you very soon :)

Class Instructor

Hi, I’m Ellie, a fitness instructor and personal trainer. After completing my degree in sports science and human performance seven years ago I have been helping people move their bodies and get fit in group exercise classes and in my private personal training studio. I specialise in pre and postnatal fitness and having recently become a mummy myself, I know how difficult it can be for parents to get to the gym, so I promise to make your workout worthwhile! Come and join me at 6pm on Thursday evenings for group cycle, see you in the saddle.

Class Instructor

I discovered yoga about 10 years ago, having spent many years searching for effective relief from musculoskeletal conditions and job stress. Within a few weeks I began to feel the benefits both physically and mentally, and I wanted to learn more about this ancient philosophy. I enrolled on a BWY foundation, then diploma course, so after 3 years of study I am now honoured to be able to share this passion with you.
I am so excited to be teaching at Yateleys, and look forward to meeting you all!
